The Secret Tail of Pikachu,

If you have been surfing the internet, you probably have encountered some blog post, youtube video or news article that talks about how some people think that Pikachu species had a black line in their tails. The so called mandela effect has affected so many people along the different series that confused them. Some people say that the mandela effect it's produced due to residual memories from an alternate universe but the truth may be more boring than that... People just remember it wrong.

I'm no Pokemon expert here. I don't play a pokémon game since X and Y. But certainly thinking back about what could be the origin of this misconception, I do remind that I saw a Pokemon Card where pikachu had a black color on its tail. But not on the tip but on the base before the brown color started. Is there a way that people misremembered where was the black of its tail due to having a mixed memory about Pichu's Tail? So I decided to look for Pikachu pokemon cards and after looking for a long time... I got absolutely nothing. There was no card with such depiction.
So that's it folks. We got in a dead end. After all did you think that after years of people looking for the answer to this question. You were going to find the final answer here? Well I thought every hope was lost. But then the final answer came to me and I did get it. There is one piece of official artwork where Pikachu has black on its tail.
At First I looked for the sprites in the pokemon trading card game to see if there was some sprite that due to the console limitations made pikachu's tail partialy black and yes. I found something somewhat similar. But a black tail due to color limitation it's highly disputable. There was no intention on making it black. And we need a sprite who deribelatly made pikachu's tail black... But if there was no black tail on those sprites... Where? Then I finally felt a little dumb after realizing that the answer was always under my nose and I never noticed it. THE BLACK TAILED PIKACHU WAS AN SPRITE ON POKEMON RED AND BLUE!!!
Ceirtainly this isn't the Black Tailed Pikachu that people say they remember. But that wasn't the final goal of this search. The true goal was finding some original art that could have leaded towards this misconception.
